Are you passionate about widening participation in contemporary art? Do you have experience with navigating marginalisation in the art world? Would you love to support emerging artists?

We need help selecting artists for a very exciting project at Unit 2. The project will focus on underrepresented and emerging curators, collectives and solo artists who have an ambitious idea for using the gallery. As well as choosing the four successful participants, you’ll also deliver a mentoring session to support them in their next steps and provide critical feedback on their work. 

If you have a keen eye for hot contemporary art practice and a perspective that could be useful to underrepresented and emerging artists, we’d love to hear from you. 

The role:

• Join our selection panel 
• Deliver a one hour mentor session 
• Place: In person (St Leonards) or on video call
• Dates: November 2025 (panel) and Jan-April 2026 (mentoring)
• Time commitment: 10 hours max 
• Pay: £400

About you:

• Knowledge and understanding of contemporary art
• Experience with curation in any context 
• Lived experience of artworld marginalisation
