Film Screening
Mentally set in the artist’s childhood Jerusalem bedroom, ‘bring me a thought I can act on’ is a visual play-diary exploring the state of exile; wondering and wandering through thoughts on how to love a homeland. This film is an intimate exploration of what the body remembers about itself once the mind forgets.
Palestinian artist Lujain Tamer Mansour explores process, documentation, dream and memory. Fleeting moments of joy, rest and normality are layered with ambiguous snippets, beautiful assemblages, and longing, narrated with warmth and care. This work is described by the artist as ‘an idle diary of the exiled psyche’.
