We are seeking artists, curators and collectives for shows in August.

Set up just last month, Unit 2 is a space created by and for contemporary fine artists in the heart of cultural hot-spot St Leonards on Sea. Our central aim is to provide an alternative to institutional and commercial exhibition spaces, by hiring out our dynamic 1,900 square foot space at cost. We are totally volunteer run and operate with a DIY spirit to allow artists freedom to experiment and develop on their own terms. 

We have space available this August for two shows, either one or two weeks’ duration. 

Do you need space to try an idea? 
Do you have a bold group or solo show in mind and the ambition to make it happen? 

Unit 2 could be your answer! 

Please submit ASAP and let us know an overview of your idea and any technical requirements, as well as your preferred August dates. 

Each hire slot usually runs from Tuesday to Monday – with a private view on Friday and general open hours Saturday and Sunday. This allows for plenty of time to install, plus a day of take-down. The gallery is free to visit and open to everyone – we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, inclusive space for art lovers of all kinds. Socially engaged practices, and emerging / underrepresented artists are always our priority.
